similar to a garden hose and will not be forced behind your siding,
potentially causing water damage and mold behind your siding.

Q.
I am concerned about the amount of water you will use.
A.
Our Soft-Wash-
cleaning method uses less water than other types of exterior cleaning.
We can supply all of the water if necessary. A typical Soft-Wash
exterior house wash uses less than 225 gallons.
Q.
Will my windows be streaked or covered with a white film?
A.
Another benefit of Soft-Wash cleaning technique is the self neutralizing
'soaps'. Simply put, your house and windows will be squeaky clean.
No window streaks
guaranteed.
Q.
Do I need to be at home?
A.
Most customers are not at home when we make their homes sparkle,
but please remember to close all windows, clear your driveway
and put away fragile decorations on your home and deck.

Q.
How will I know when you are coming?
A.
We will e-mail and call to let you know. Generally when a customer
asks for service, we will give them a firm schedule time, normally
within 5 business days.
Q.
Can you wash a house or deck in the rain?
A.
Yes, it actually works just fine. Your house is going to get wet
when we wash it, so there is little difference to rain. We will
reschedule if there is danger involved, such as lightning.
Q.
Why do you clean with heated water?
A.
Heated water cleans more effectively than cold water. An added
benefit to warm water is I use less concentrated soaps to insure
the safety of your plants.

Q.
Is it safe to wash my house with heated water?
A.
Yes, We started using heated water to clean siding of all types
in 1997. Our exclusive Soft-Wash cleaning uses water heated to
about 130 degrees Fahrenheit similar to bath water. This is warm
enough to gain the advantages of heated water, with no chance
of damage to siding or plants.
I would like
to add, that some pressure wash contractors cannot control the
heat of their water, and will cause damage with scalding hot water.
Q.
How long have you been powerwashing?
A.
Since 1993, We have been a full time professional pressure wash
contractor. We do not have sideline businesses that would distract
from giving our customers the finest exterior cleaning services.
When our customers need painting or carpentry done, we refer a
qualified professional, not a 'Jack-of All Trades'.
Q.
How often should I clean my home?
A.
Major vinyl siding manufacturers recommend a thorough cleaning
every 12 to 24 months. Removing buildups of mold, algae and oxidation
help keep your siding at its best.

Q.
My contractor said my siding and deck were zero maintenance.
A.
Low Maintenance yes, Zero Maintenance no. Anything left outside
in this area's humidity and sun will get dirty. Your car gets
dirty sitting in your driveway, so does your house and deck.
Q.What
is the dark staining on my siding?
A.
Most likely it is mold. All mold needs to grow is moisture (humidity)
and a food source and it will grow anywhere. The dark stains on
your siding, the dark stains on concrete walks (especially in
shaded areas).
Q.
Isnt mold a health problem?
A.
Yes, Mold and mildew around your home create and unhealthy conditions
for those with allergies and asthma.
Pressure washing
will remove mold from siding, trim, concrete surfaces.
Note:
If you have children that play on driveways or walks with mildew
growing on them, you should have those areas cleaned.
Do you
want your kids touching their faces after playing on moldy surfaces?

Q.
There are small very dark raised spots on my siding in places.
What is this and can you remove them?
A.
Most likely they are Artillery Fungus spores if the areas are
near or above mulch. This fungus lives in unrotted hardwood mulch
and shoots its spores in the air (hence the names Artillery or
Shotgun Fungus) and these spores land on your siding.
We have not
found a way to safely remove these spores from siding or trim.
Q.
Are all power wash companies alike?
A.
Anyone can purchase a pressure washer. Simply owning a pressure
washer and advertising you offer a service doesn't mean you can
operate it and effectively. A pressure washer in the hands of
an unskilled operator will do a great deal more harm than good,
I have seen decks ruined by too much pressure and harsh chemicals,
siding blown off houses, plants and yards killed, windows broken,
paint peeled and even concrete cut and etched.
Q.
I received a coupon from another pressure wash company offering
very low prices, are your services more expensive?
A.
Low priced offers, according to the Better Business Bureau, result
in the most complaints and unresolved problems reported to the
BBB. I take pride in creating long term relationships with my
customers, that are the result of excellent customer service.
We are active
members of the local Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business
Bureau.

Q.
Can you clean my house or deck in the winter?
A.
Yes, we operate all year long. Adjustable heating control of our
cleaning water allows us to clean even in below freezing temperatures.
Q.
I want my house to stay looking clean and fresh, will you send
me a reminder notice about your wonderful cleaning services?
A.
Yes, many of our regular customers are on our reminder list. We
recommend keeping your property clean rather than waiting until
the mold buildup is unsightly. We can set up a reminder schedule
for your property too.
Q.
Does Spray and Clean have insurance?
A.
Yes, we have Liability and Personal Property Damage Insurance
coverage in case we do any damage to your property, and we also
carry Workman's Compensation Insurance in case a worker is injured.
The Better
Business Bureau suggests all home service providers have all of
the above insurances, and you should ask for proof of insurance
from all contractors. A statement of "I have insurance"
could mean a contractor only has insurance on his vehicle.

Q.
Why is insurance important to me a homeowner?
A.
Many contractors state they have insurance, but few actually have
more than an automobile policy. Damage can occur to your home
by a contractor, or a worker could be injured on your property,
and you could easily be held responsible. Always ask for proof
of insurance, that little question could save you thousands of
dollars.
Q.
How can you give me an accurate quote without seeing my house?
A.
Experience from washing over 3000 houses allows me to know what
questions to ask to gain the information needed to give an accurate
quote. This system will save you time, and allow you to 'mark
it off your to do list'. I will need a contact number for
the day.
